THIS THING IS, OR WAS, NO JOKE. I SAY THAT CAUSE I HAVEN'T SEEN IT FOR A FEW YEARS. (GOING IN HALF ON SOMETHING IS NEVER A GOOD IDEAD UNLESS IT'S IN YOUR POSSESION) WE PICKED THIS PLUS A MATCHING TARILER UP FROM A GUY IN HIS 60'S WHO STILL RODE IT THE SEASON HE SOLD IT. HAD QUITE THE KNOWLEDGE OF MOTORS AND ALL THINGS SICKLE RELATED. A HARLEY WILL WIND OUT PRETTY HARD BY THE TIME IT GETS TO 7000 RPM's. THIS THING LEFT THE LINE AT 7000 RPM's AND WOUND OUT TO SOMEWHERE AROUND AND BEYOND 14000.
BEING A 350 MAY NOT SOUND LIKE MUCH, BUT BEING A 2-STROKE MEANT THAT LITTLE MOTOR WAS WORKING DOUBLE TIME. AFTER HAVING IT AND TALKING TO OTHER PEOPLE, I FOUND OUT THIS PARTICULAR BIKE HAD QUITE THE REPUTATION. NOBODY LIKED RACING IT, WITH ALL THE SMOKE AND NOISE INVOLVED. IT ANNOYED THE OTHER RACERS AND WAS STILL FAST. LOTS OF POWER ON A BIKE THAT WEIGHED ABOUT 300 POUNDS.
IT'S PRETTY FUN CRUISING THROUGH A NEIGHBORHOOD PUFF'N SMOKE WITH WHEELIE BARS HANGING OFF THE BACK OF WHAT SOUNDS LIKE A CHAINSAW WITH WHEELS. IT WASN'T STREET LEGAL, IT HAD NO TITLE, I'M SURE IT WASN'T ALL THAT SAFE, AND I NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO RACE IT, BUT IT WAS FUN. THATS ALL THAT COUNTS SOMETIMES-
