Gettin outa town.

Glad I was able to get in a bunch of riding days in last week cause my ole lady ain't much of a biker chick so taking the Chopper up to Lake Geneva, WI was not gonna be a good idea. But, I did convince her to let me drive her 1977 Corvette with 27,000 original miles. I think she drives this car about once a year if that. Perfect weekend to get away from all the Chicagoland St. Paddys day hooplah bullshit and drunkards. On the way back I hit Kelly's leather in Richmond IL to pick up a new indestructable tool bag for the chop. Not a bad weekend!

First ride of the season.

Its been a mild winter. Cant believe that its in the upper 60's low 70's. For the midwest, its not suppose to be like this in March. But, I'll fucking take it. Got my tubes back from Lil John at Extreme Cycle in Aurora this past weekend. I guess the lower fork bushings never got installed. Woops! But now the front end is tighter than an ugly eight grader. Did some other maintenance, cleaned her up, and was able to throw down some miles with a friend. We blasted around a little bit out by Sycamore, made a couple pit stops and got home before the sun went down. Overall, it was a great weekend. Its gonna be a good summer this year.

Shit like this sucks. We've all had close calls, maybe accidents, but when you see shit like this and read the story, it hits close to home. I dont know Jay Bell but I saw his story on Chopcult and decided to send him a donation through paypal. Its all about supporting our own and giving a little bit back when in need. Dyna Fever

I think a modified stock bike is gonna be in my future this summer. My Chop is at my Dads in his garage and it would be nice to be able to leave something on the back porch, covered, and ready for abuse at any given moment. Work this summer is gonna be crazy and having some sanity within arms reach would be some good therapy. Sometimes I still wish I had my Buell. I guess its nice to have options.

Clean Dyna

I was searching through some threads on Chopcult and came across this amazing Dyna. This guy really nailed it on the head with everything. The narrow glide,bars,pipes,relocated shocks, fender, and EFI to carb conversion is just awesome. I wouldn't change a thing. Great idea on how to turn a stock Harley into something amazing.

Madison, WI

Decided to head up to Madison WI this past weekend to visit with my friends. Madison is such a great town and I really wish my last job wasnt so shitty cause it would have been nice to experience it a little longer. In the short time I was there I feel like I made some really good friends with some solid dudes. Heres a sneak peak of a bike they are building for a friend. Gotta say I'm pretty jealous of the whole shop set up. Its a chopper freaks bachelor pad dream. Who wouldnt want to sleep next to their bikes and have a shit ton of room with no one around to fuck with you?

These guys can crank out full builds, paint, hardtails, service, pretty much anything without the tough guy attitude. If your in the area and need something done check out their blog

Chopper Time

My good buddy Scotty Marone came over tonight to give me a hand getting my period correct Taiwanese Evo chopper on the lift and up in the air so we could pull the front end off. The tubes will be looked at next week to see what is causing all the extra play. Races? Dampner?

 Yep, I got lots of bars. Sometimes you can over think your bike entirely during the winter. Its good to have a second eye to keep you in check. Think I will stay with the originals with some taller risers.

Next on the list is an aircleaner that won't catch on fire, and my new transmission that I will be ordering from my good pal Buddy at Action Cycles in Lombard. Its all small shit, but it feels good to get back in the garage, shoot the shit, drink a beer, and look forward to spring. Evo's for Life!

What to expect. First night of VT...Savanna IL

 Ahh. The good ole Whiskey River Saloon. This place gets fuckin weird right around midnight. Most times they have a DJ blasting shitty music. Josh said he saw some chick dancing on the bar and her old man came in and pretty much knocked her on her ass. This seems like the lesbo,freakshow, i'm gonna fight you bar....Shit, it is called Whiskey River. Across the street is Greens Tavern, we stock up pork rhines, and the bartender Rachel has always been cool to us over there. You want fun...go to these two bars...only after midnight. Too many stories to tell at these places.

 Heres the inside of the Iron Horse Social Saloon. The owner collects and has on display lots of old Harley's, hillclimbers & memorbilia. Hes always in the bar drinking, and if you start him talking he seems like a decent dude.

 Old Mighty Miss. How have you spawned so many half retarded mississippi rats?

 Heres the back of Poopys where we will be camping at on Friday. Free camping, free showers, tattoo shop inside as well.... just ride up the dirt/gravel hill and make your home for the night. Poopys has actually the best food in town and a good breakfeast. Poopys is about 5 minutes from downtown Savanna IL

 Typical weekend at the Poophole. Around 10pm this place turns into a ghost town though...we typically head into town for more action.
