AFTER A SHORT STINT ON CRAIGSLIST AND SOME CONVINCING FROM A FEW PEOPLE, I DECIDED TO KEEP ON KEEPING ON THE HOTROD. IT GOT SO FRUSTRATING AND TIME CONSUMING I DIDN'T EVEN WANNA THINK OF WORKING OR HAVING TO WORK ON IT. AFTER SOME THOUGHT AND PEER PRESSURE, I FIGURED I'VE GONE THIS FAR WITH THE PROJECT, MIGHT AS WELL KEEP GOING. (FORREST GUMP PHILOSOPHY)
THE STEERING, I THOUGHT, WAS DONE AND TURNED OUT TO BE WAY OFFSET, SO I STARTED OVER AGAIN. HAD TO REDO THE MOUNT AND ENDED UP WITH A BETTER LOOKING MOUNT. IT'S GOT THE DOUBLE CUTAWAY GOING ON NOW. IT'S LIKE A MINI TERMINATOR LANDED RIGHT INSIDE THE MOUNT.
My hot rod situation is very similiar,my biggest reason is money tho.If yer buildinn a hot rod the actual investment of time ,money, tools knowledge ect..is so much greater than I ever could have imagined 5 years ago when I started collecting old crummy car parts.Have thought about sellin but never will, just got comfortable that it is a project and will get done as time allows.
ReplyDeleteSAME BOAT. I STARTED COLLECTING THINGS ALMOST 7 YEARS AGO AND HAD NO CLUE ON WHAT I REALLY TAKES. HUGE LEARNING CURVE! CARS REQUIRE SO MUCH MORE. MORE TIME, MORE SPACE, MORE TOOLS, JACKS, HOISTS. I KEEP PUSHING ON AND DAYDREAMING OF DRIVING IT ONE DAY-
