HELP!
I'm having electrical issues (again). Not sure if it's something I'm not catching or if it's something serious. Battery is good, I had it tested. But if i stop the bike it wont turn over again using the key start. So I have to kickstart it (which has been a lot of fun) but that wasn't working last night either after about an hours worth. I finally had my buddy jump start me with his car and I went straight fucking home and cried the rest of the night and watched reruns of "Sex in the city". Did I fuck something up last summer with all my shorts in the wiring. A guy told me my stator? could be fucked up? I dont know. C'mon Chris (or anybody) help a bruv out.

ReplyDeleteCool thanx Bobby, I'll call this afternoon if thats ok. MY lady and I just left the house to go eat and buy shit for the house.
ReplyDeleteI'VE HAD THINGS SO CALLED "TESTED" BEFORE AND STILL TURNED OUT THEY WERE JUNK AFTER SAID AUTOPARTS STORE GUY TOLD ME IT WAS GOOD.
ReplyDeleteCHECK YOUR CABLES, RIGHT AT THE CRIMPS, SOMETIMES THEY LOOK ATTACHED YET ARE BROKEN. NOT ENOUGH JUICE GETS THROUGH-
I had a similiar issue a few weeks ago. And like Al sed, it was a bad crimped connection. The starter solenoid has 2 wires on it - 1 large main wire, from the battery and a smaller wire with a crimped spade connector on it, from the starter relay.
ReplyDeleteThat smaller relay wire was broken right at the crimp and was only holding on by a few strands. It seemed I had power and would start randomly, but once shut off it wouldn't start again. Ran thru all the connections and sure as shit it was that spade. Cut it off, crimped on a new one and BLAM, fired right up.
did ya ever get this fixed?
