BLESSING OF THE BIKES

THERE'S A LITTLE CHURCH ABOUT 2 MILES DOWN THE WAY FROM MY HOUSE THAT ALL THE LEATHER CLAD BIKERS AND VARIOUS OTHER RIDERS CONVERGE UPON EVERY YEAR AT THIS TIME. IT'S THE FIRST BIG EVENT OF THE YEAR IN TOWN, AND IF THE WEATHER IS DECENT, IT HAS QUITE A TURN OUT.

I NORMALLY DO SOME THINGS AROUND THE HOUSE IN THE MORNING WHILE HOARDS OF BIKES COME PAST. EVENTUALLY SOME FRIENDS WILL STOP BY AND CONVINCE ME TO COME DOWN..... SO I DO.
IT'S NOT MY REALLY MY "SCENE" BUT I KNOW A FEW PEOPLE AND MINGLE AROUND THE GROUNDS CHATTING AND SCOPING FOR ANYTHING WORTHWHILE. THIS YEAR WAS PACKED MORE THAN NORMAL WITH IT BEING A NICE SUNNY DAY, SO A COUPLE GOOD BIKES ARE ALWAYS TO BE FOUND. ODDS ARE IN FAVOR OF AT LEAST 2 OR 3 DECENT RIDES.

PIMP SHOVEL WITH A GIRDER-

PRISTINE KAWASAKI 2STROKE 400. THIS THING WAS AS NICE AS THEY COME-

NOT SURE ABOUT THE FLAMES, BUT I'D RIDE IT-

MY BUDDY DAVE'S (WEBB, NOT DAVEY, DAVE POO OR DAVE SUMMERS. TOO MANY DAVE'S) SPORTY. IT'S A SCRAPER-
AND WHAT GETS ME ABOUT THE BLESSING IS THAT EVERY YEAR, AFTER ALL THE BIKES ARE BLESSED, SOMEBODY ALWAYS DUMPS THEIR BIKE OR CRASHES ON THE WAY HOME. I PERSONALLY WITNESS A BAGGER DUMP IT TRYING TO LEAVE TODAY. A BIT IRONIC IF YOU ASK ME.
OH, AND RUN FROM THE HOLY WATER, SHIT BURNS-
